Well, Easter has come and gone. We have more candy in the house than we have had since Halloween. The kids had a great time with all the baskets & egg hunts. They were even treated to a pinata this year (thanks Brock & Bethany:) We had a nice day in Eaton Rapids celebrating. We even got to see a couple of old friends at South Baptist in Lansing.

Okay, since I am obviously making such a strong start... I am a work in progress what can I say:) I have been chastised by my friends...you know who you are, about my need to keep at it. Thank you for your "gentle encouragement".

Here I am, with nothing to say, writing in spite of myself. I am trying to think of what I might write that anyone would even care to read. I am actually just enjoying the silence (I love cartoon time, my kids are totally engrossed).

Let's start with what I'm thankful for: Today is Good Friday so there is an obvious answer. Thank you Jesus for giving up your body on the cross for me. It is the best gift anyone has ever or will ever offer. I can't wait for Resurrection Sunday! What a celebration. The kids & I have been singing "Up from the Grave He Arose!!" all week. We get to go to Lansing to celebrate with Trev's family. I look forward to going.

Speaking of Trevor, I am also thankful for him (I am sure he will never read this, he has probably already forgot we have a blog). He is outside clearing the driveway from our spring snowstorm, he's good for a lot more than manual labor but it's a good perk;) He is an awesome hubby.

Thanks for reading. Hopefully I will think of more to say soon. I plan on getting some Easter pictures up on here next week, so if you don't see them yell at me until you do. Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday (Easter).

Getting Started

For a While now I have been viewing my friends sites & wishing that I was able to create something similar to share with our families and friends. I admit I have been intimidated to try it on my own despite my friends urging and reassurances at how easy it is...we'll see. I am excited to get started. Who knows, maybe it will become as addictive as scrapbooking:)
